I hate living at Melrose!! The gates are so annoying and your key card stops working at least once a month and you have to have it re-keyed. The work-out room has many things that are always out of service, the tanning bed doors are not marked and the keys work for both doors so I had someone walk in on me one time! The pool is gross and freezing, and the grounds have trash all over. The apartments were built so poorly that you can hear EVERYTHING, from people talking to a phone ringing downstairs. It is horrible. Last but not least, the staff is absolutely HORRIBLE. They are rude, incompetent, and immature. When I have asked questions about the computers and printers (which only work 1/4 of the time) they used profanity and hit the machines. Extremely unprofessional. The billing system is ridiculous and impossible to understand, and when you ask questions that get mad and talk to you like you are five years old. The only friendly employee that I have ever encountered while living at Melrose for 9 months is Bill the security guard. He actually helped me carry heavy things up to my apartment. Other than that, they need to hire a completely new staff. I would have rather lived in an old, cheap apartment closer to campus than in Melrose. Living here was my biggest mistake in college. The person who wrote the good review of Melrose Apt was probably an employee trying to make the place look not so horrible. My advice: DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER LIVING IN MELROSE APARTMENTS!!! k6tKKzmJrmATU2ap682S
