Decent place to live

I lived at Melrose for the 2002-2003 school year. I payed anywhere from $430 to $460 per month to live there. That includes rent, phone, internet, cable, heat, h2o, and electric. That wasn't a bad deal at all. I hear they jacked the prices way up though. I can't speak for others, but I personally liked living there. Yeah, they are constructed cheap and they're kinda far from campus, but there are a ton of students living out there between Melrose, Chandler, and Crossing Place. There was always plenty of parking for guests. Maintainence always came within 2 hours of me calling. The billing system does suck, but if you actually read your lease, the billing is explained pretty clearly. For any of you little rich kids out there that are complaining about Melrose. Go live at Campus Hill Apartments on Grand River in Okemos. Then you'll know what it's like to live in a real crap-hole
