I've read a lot of reviews and after living here for a year I found this place to have it's ups and downs, but I've yet to hear of a place that everyone agrees is a good place to live. Here's a few things that stick out both good and bad:

1. Move in day - Completely disorganized. After waiting in line for almost three hours I was finally told that I couldn't move in b/c I didn't have first/last month's rent with me. I came back a few days later to pay only to be told that since mgt wasn't in, I they just gave me my key anyways and told me to come back later and pay.

2. Bus pass/service - the free bus pass for both semesters is wonderful and since the bus runs every 10 minutes during the semester school weeks it was extremely easy to get to class.

3. Clubhouse - it's great that it's open 24 hours but they took away the pool cues (i guess they were stolen or damaged') and you can only get them when the office is open, which sucks if you're a night owl like myself. Then why is there a security camera in the game room'!' Also the printer in the computer lab is ALWAYS broken. I notified mgt of it on 3 separate occasions in a week and they kept telling me that they were gonna do something about it. Still Broken

4. Parking - This really depends on where you live in the complex. I lived in bldg. 2 and the parking lot for the first 4 bldgs was more than adequate for all the residents and guests. However, I had friends that were in other ares of the complex where the parking lot for 6 bldgs was the size of ours. I blame that on lack of planning.

5. The Gates - Completely useless. I remember for at least the first month they were completely open so that everyone could move in ok w/o having to go through the gates. Even after that it was always hit and miss if they'd be broken. The exit gates are always up which makes it really easy to drive through them. The numbers to buzz our apt-one of my roommates wasn't even listed in the directory, and my number didn't buzz our apt. we notified mgt about it and they told us to just use the number that worked.

6. Noisy neighbors - the apts were built pretty ------ so yes you can hear everything. Though I think our neighbors had a herd of elephants living upstairs b/c they would stomp around at all hours of the night (not to mention the squeaky beds-nuff said on that). They did decide to blare their music a few times and we did go up there and talk to them about it the first time, as well as the second time. Then we put in a noise complaint and haven't had a problem since.

7. Bedrooms - I don't know about you guys but having a big ass bed and my own bathroom kicks ass. I did have a problem with the faucet on the tub and I called in maintenance and they came the next day to fix it, and it's worked great ever since.

8. Ethernet, TV - I think we have ethernet but i'm not sure lately. This entire summer it's always crashing and not functioning for days on end. I'm disappointed in whatever service we have. For the most part, the tv is pretty good. SInce we have satellite tv, every time we get a bad storm, it always goes out which gets annoying after awhile.

9. Security system - Did anyone else miss the class on whether our keypad actually works or how we can get that thing to work'

10. Mgt. - Definately flaky like most people say. My roommates and I had to go in there three months in a row to tell them that they were overcharging us in rent before they finally fixed it. Every time i'm in there, there's a completely different group of people behind the desks, which suggests a high turnover rate, which might explain why no one knows what's going on b/c everyone is new all the time.
