If you don't mind beind a little aways from campus, then melrose is great. i loved never having to worry about my roommate's portions of the rent/utilities. having your own bathroom is great and all your furniture is already there. you don't have to move heavy crap in or out when you leave. the summers there are great. one thing i truely miss is how much parking there was. i live at hidden tree now and it's a crap hole compared to my spoiled days at melrose. i wish i still had a washer/dryer in my apt. now it's in a scary basement. and i never felt unsafe at melrose. now i walk from my car with my keys between my fingers so no one jumps me. melrose is still the best home away from home i ever had. i can't stand what half of the other people complain about. wait til they move to a crappy old house by campus or apartments that are 30 years old and then see what they have to say.
